Thursday, July 5, 2007

How would the American Public react if there were a significant successful Terrorist attack in America? As we have seen by the recent attacks in Britain, al Qaeda and other terrorists still wish to hit Western Targets. Since 9/11 there have been several attempted Terror attacks in the US. Fortunately, the attacks planned for the US were not as close to being executed as the attacks in London and Glasgow.

The Libby Pardon

Monday, July 2, 2007

President Bush did not pardon Lewis “Scooter” Libby today. He did commute his jail sentence, but let stand the $250,000 fine and the 2 years of supervised release (probation) imposed by the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. According to several reports since the Immigration Bill was defeated, speculation was high that the Republicans would take a bigger hit from the Hispanic Voters than the Democrats. In fact the most often repeated opinion was that the Democrats would make large gains among the Hispanic population.

Saturday, June 30, 2007

Since 1992, Al Gore has claimed that the Earth was experiencing rapid Global Warming. His award winning movie, “An Inconvenient Truth” has raised awareness of the human contribution to the natural cycles in the Earth’s temperature fluctuation. In many ways we owe him a debt of gratitude. More study and money has been allocated to Scientific Climate Research as a result of his squawking. But if he is really interested in and concerned for our planet’s future, he needs to come forward and acknowledge the mounting evidence that he may be wrong. Scientific fact has shown some of his claims to be false, and others at least need a major revision.
